Spanish coastal towns offer cultural and nature activities in September

Various coastal destinations in Spain are offering diverse cultural and leisure activities throughout September.

In Torrevieja, located in the province of Alicante, visitors can explore the Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja Natural Park, known for its pink-toned waters and active salt flats. The region offers hiking trails and a calmer atmosphere following the peak summer season.

In Barbate, on the Costa de Cádiz, the local agenda includes maritime-themed exhibitions at the Antigua Lonja de Pescados and guided tours at the Museo del Atún, which feature tuna processing demonstrations and tastings. Other scheduled events include the ‘Ventanas de La Janda’ exhibition by Manuel Maqueda and the ‘Piojito’ municipal market.
