Spanish companies face cloud maturity gaps affecting AI goals
A report by NTT DATA titled ‘Cloud-driven innovation in the era of AI: New rules for generating value in this environment’ reveals that 80% of Spanish companies have not yet reached a high level of cloud maturity. While Spanish organizations perform six points above the global average, the majority are not fully extracting the value of cloud computing.
This lack of maturity poses a risk to artificial intelligence strategies. Although all surveyed companies acknowledge that AI expansion requires increased cloud investment, 90% believe current budgets jeopardize the success of these initiatives. Experts warn that many organizations are accelerating AI adoption without first consolidating the necessary infrastructure to support it.
Roberto García Godoy, head of Digital Architecture & Cloud for Iberia and Latin America at NTT DATA, stated that companies achieving the best results are those building a solid cloud foundation to transform data into actionable knowledge. Security remains a primary investment priority as organizations navigate increasing technological complexity.
