Spanish Congress: Confrontation between PP and Sumar deputies

Muñoz reported that Ibáñez shouted, ‘You are going to pay for this! You are going to have to face the consequences!’ The incident took place shortly before a vote on two housing decrees approved by the Council of Ministers, which the PP intends to oppose. Muñoz denounced the encounter on social media, stating that no deputy should intimidate her with ‘shouts, tension, and violence.’

Representatives from Sumar clarified that the remarks were not a personal threat but an electoral statement, suggesting that the PP would ‘pay in the ballot boxes.’ The tension follows the political friction regarding the government's housing legislation and the opposition's stance on its potential impact on the rental market.
