Spanish Congress considers permanent expulsion of Vito Quiles

The Spanish Congress of Deputies has initiated proceedings that could lead to the permanent revocation of media accreditation for communicator Vito Quiles. This follows the accumulation of five serious infractions, including two previous temporary suspensions.

Two of the three new proposed sanctions involve the unauthorized distribution of images obtained within the Congress on social media, violating audiovisual usage rules. A third sanction stems from the interruption of a press conference, which legal services have characterized as a deliberate attempt to disrupt institutional order. The Congress has granted Quiles a two-week period to present allegations before a final decision is made.

Additionally, the Congress has opened an allegation period for Bertrand Ndongo regarding a second sanction. In his case, a one-month expulsion has been proposed for a serious offense. The institution aims to reinforce internal regulations and prevent disruptive behavior from interfering with parliamentary activities.
