Spanish courts order various compensations for construction and maintenance issues

The Provincial Court of Madrid has upheld a ruling requiring a homeowners' association to pay 49,011.97 euros to a restaurant. The compensation follows a 47-day closure caused by works on the building's sewage system, which resulted in financial losses for the business.

In a separate ruling, the National Court has ordered the Ministry of Transport to pay an additional 1.4 million euros to the construction firm Construcciones Adolfo Sobrino. This payment relates to the SE-40 highway project between Alcalá de Guadaíra and Dos Hermanas. The firm had previously received millions in compensation for cost overruns and delays caused by errors and omissions in the original construction project.
