Spain hosts diverse regional gastronomy and cooperative festivals

Various regional festivals and cultural events are taking place across Spain, focusing on gastronomy, local traditions, and the cooperative economy.

In Igualada, the 11th Gastronomic Day of Edible Plants drew nearly 10,000 visitors, featuring over 120 activities centered on ethnobotany and agroecology. Similarly, the Eixarcolant collective is launching a cinema program to explore rural economies and biodiversity through film across Catalan-speaking territories.

In the Barcelonès Nord region, cooperative ecosystems are hosting public events like Badacoop in Badalona and FestCoop in Santa Coloma de Gramenet to promote social and solidarity economies. Meanwhile, wine-related events are prominent, including the wine showcase in Figueres and the XV La Rematadura in Somontano, where Bodega Pirineos celebrates its harvest.

Other notable culinary celebrations include the 23rd Festa dos Callos in O Porriño, the Suquet de Peix campaign in Roses, and the 25th anniversary of the Feria de la Tapa in Huelva. In Mallorca, the Burger Fest returns to Son Fusteret, introducing pizza to its menu, while the Penedès region prepares for its annual open-door day for cava cellars.
