Spanish cultural institutions honor artists Juan Ripollés and Valero Lecha

The Diputación de Castellón has announced it will award the Alta Distinción to artist Juan Ripollés. The ceremony is scheduled for October 2 in Figueroles to coincide with the Province Day. The award recognizes Ripollés’s global artistic career and his lifelong creative dedication.

In Teruel, the Instituto de Estudios Turolenses is releasing a special publication titled ‘Valero Lecha. El pintor del trópico’. The book, which is the 14th edition of the Cartillas Turolenses collection, documents the life and work of the Alcorisa-born painter who significantly influenced Salvadoran art. The presentation will take place on September 6 at the Sala Cultural Alcor 82 in Alcorisa.
