Spanish cultural programming features Lorca and accessible theater
Cultural programming in Spain features new theatrical productions in Madrid and Vilagarcía. At the Teatro Fernán Gómez in Madrid, the Teatro Clásico de Sevilla will present Federico García Lorca’s ‘El público’ from October 1 to 18. Directed by Alfonso Zurro, this surrealist production aims to break the barrier between the audience and the stage, exploring themes of identity and desire through a poetic lens.
In Vilagarcía, the autumn cultural season includes a focus on accessibility. The company Chévere will perform ‘Ictus (Anatomía da derradeira leición) de Castelao’ on October 2, a production specifically adapted for deaf and blind spectators through the use of sign language and live audio description. Other scheduled events include a children's play by Monicreques de Kukas on October 17 and a concert by Uxía Senlle celebrating 40 years in music on November 13.
