Spanish cyclists prepare for World Championships

Spanish cyclists Juan Ayuso and Mireia Benito are preparing for the upcoming World Championships.

While he secured a significant victory at the Volta ao Algarve, his year was marked by several setbacks, including a crash during Paris-Nice and stomach issues during the Itzulia Basque Country Classic. He also finished seventh in the general classification at the Tour de France and faced further interruptions due to a crash during the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal.

Mireia Benito, representing the Movistar Team, is preparing for the time trial event in Canada. She noted that the course features technical sections with broken asphalt and gravel, which may require careful pacing. Benito also highlighted that potential rain could significantly impact the race, making tire quality and pressure critical factors for performance.
