Spanish daily menu prices rise amid inflation
The average price of a daily menu in Spain has reached 14.7 euros, representing a 3.5% increase compared to 2025 levels. According to a survey by Hostelería de España and Edenred, this rise occurs as the hospitality sector faces increasing operational costs.
While the general consumer price index rose by 4.9% in September, restaurant prices saw a 4.3% increase. Specific food commodities driving these costs include eggs, which rose by 12.3%, legumes and vegetables at 9.8%, beef at 7.9%, and fresh or frozen fish at 4.5%.
The daily menu remains a highly sought-after option for workers seeking affordable, seasonal, and traditional meals during the work week, though price variations exist across different autonomous communities.
