Spanish designers prepare for international and regional fashion showcases
Spanish designers are gaining international and regional recognition through upcoming fashion events. In Washington, designer José Perea will participate in the Global Couture U.S. on November 14. Representing Córdoba, Perea aims to showcase his city's heritage through a 10-design collection inspired by local landmarks, such as the Mezquita and Roman Bridge, blending traditional elements like flamenco styles with contemporary design.
In Cáceres, the Association of Young and New Spanish Designers will host the Extremadura Young Designers Contest on October 9, 2026. The event features six emerging creators from the Extremadura region: Alba Mateos Ollero, Candela Silvero, Alba Rubio Piñas, Isabel Arias, Andrés Campos, and the duo Rosa and Carmen Rodríguez. The showcase, supported by local government and commerce entities, explores themes ranging from Greek mythology to traditional craftsmanship.
