Spanish entities express solidarity with Ceuta and Melilla

Various Spanish entities and municipalities have expressed formal solidarity with the cities of Ceuta and Melilla in response to current difficulties facing their societies and commercial sectors.

The Association of Merchants of the Old Town of Santander has joined the Spanish Confederation of Historical Centers (COCAHI) in issuing a letter of support. This declaration emphasizes the historical importance of Ceuta and Melilla as essential parts of Spanish heritage and identity, while highlighting the vital role of traditional commerce in providing employment and maintaining community life.

Additionally, the City Council of Cádiz has reaffirmed its closeness to Ceuta. Mayor Bruno García stated that Cádiz stands with Ceuta, noting the deep social and historical ties between the two cities, which have been formalized through a twinning agreement since 2007.
