Spanish Episcopal Conference celebrates 50 years of Health Pastoral

The Department of Health Pastoral of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE) is hosting the 50th National Delegates Conference in Madrid from September 22 to 24. The event marks the 50th anniversary of Health Pastoral services in Spain.

Among the participants is Luis Sánchez, the episcopal delegate for the Sick and Elderly of the Archdiocese of Valencia. Sánchez is scheduled to present on the topic of hospital pastoral care and its current resurgence. He noted that the ministry has gained increased importance as more individuals seek spiritual accompaniment during critical moments of suffering and death.
