Spanish farmers receive over 70% of CAP advance payments

Spanish farmers and livestock producers have received more than 70% of the advance payments from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA) has transferred over 1.85 billion euros of the 2.417 billion euros sent to autonomous communities since payments began on October 16.

This disbursement represents the fastest payment pace recorded to date. The total allocation for this advance payment amounts to 2.691 billion euros, with the payment schedule expected to continue until November 30, 2026. The European Commission authorized increasing the advance to up to 75% to mitigate the impact of rising energy and fertilizer costs.

Regional distribution shows Andalusia receiving the highest amount at 779 million euros, followed by Castilla y León with 638.6 million euros and Castilla-La Mancha with 445.6 million euros. Other significant recipients include Extremadura, Aragón, and Navarra.
