Spanish OHLA wins €144.3 million contract for Santiago Metro Line 9
Spanish infrastructure firm OHLA was awarded a €144.3 million contract to carry out civil works—including piques, galleries and tunnels—for sub‑segments 1C and 1D of the future Line 9 of the Santiago Metro in Chile. The contract covers about 7.6 km of underground construction and adds to OHLA’s previous work on Metro lines 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, bringing its total involvement in Santiago’s system to twelve projects and more than €700 million in cumulative investment.
The deal reinforces OHLA’s position as a leading contractor for underground railway infrastructure in Chile and expands the company’s footprint in South America, following an earlier €70 million contract for six stations on Line 7.
