Spanish football clubs Hércules and Xerez face legal and facility issues

Hércules CF has announced its intention to appeal a recent decision regarding the Javi Moreno case. Following the dismissal of a claim concerning Real Murcia’s improper lineup, Hércules coach Beto Company stated the club intends to exhaust all legal sporting avenues, describing the current ruling as “illogical.”

The judge’s decision noted that Real Murcia acted under the principle of legitimate trust, as international certificates and inquiries to the RFEF indicated the player had no pending disciplinary sanctions. The club maintains that all players must compete under the same rules.

Separately, Xerez CD has issued an official complaint regarding the “extreme dirtiness” of the Estadio Municipal de Chapín. Ahead of their match against CD Badajoz, the club expressed concern that the facilities do not meet the necessary conditions to host thousands of fans. Xerez CD highlighted that despite hiring private companies to maintain the stadium, the lack of coordination following previous events at the shared municipal facility has left the venue in an unacceptable state.
