Spanish football clubs prepare for Copa del Rey campaigns

Unión Deportiva Almería marks its 25th consecutive appearance in the Copa del Rey, a milestone beginning this Tuesday. Since its first participation in the 2002/03 season, the club has experienced varied results, including a notable semifinal run in the 2010/11 season where they were eventually defeated by FC Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Deportivo La Coruña begins its tournament journey with an away match against Auriense at O Couto. Following a period without league victories, the club views the cup competition as an opportunity for player rotation and redemption for those seeking more playing time, such as Lucas Noubi. The team must also adhere to tournament regulations regarding the number of academy players permitted on the pitch.
