Spanish futsal scheduling delayed by legal disputes
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is facing delays in finalizing group compositions and calendars for various Spanish futsal categories due to ongoing legal and administrative disputes.
A primary cause of the delay is the ‘Heredia 21’ case, which directly impacts the men's Second Division. The RFEF maintains that it cannot finalize competitions while legal uncertainty remains regarding which teams are entitled to occupy specific spots. The Federation argues that competition spots belong to the RFEF rather than individual clubs.
A key legal development is scheduled for August 18 at the Commercial Court of Málaga. This hearing follows precautionary measures previously ordered by the court without prior consultation with the RFEF. The Federation has already submitted its allegations to contest these measures.
