Spanish gastronomy festivals celebrate Iberian ham

Spain is hosting significant gastronomic events centered on Iberian ham. In Estepona, the XI Certamen Mundial de Jamón ‘Popi’ recently took place from August 7 to 16. The event featured 65 exhibitors and thousands of visitors at the Paseo Marítimo, with Panadería Obando serving as the official provider of picos and regañás to accompany the ham tastings.

Additionally, the municipality of Jabugo is preparing for the second edition of Jamón Fest, scheduled for August 28. Organized with the support of the Diputación de Huelva, the festival aims to combine gastronomy with music and tourism. The event will be held at the Jabugo Fairgrounds, offering live concerts and ham tastings to promote the Sierra de Huelva region.
