Spanish gastronomy highlighted through regional dining and new culinary guides
Spain is highlighting its diverse culinary landscape through regional gastronomic initiatives. In Galicia, specialized rice establishments like Arrocería A Lanzada in O Grove have become significant local businesses. Founded in 2003, the restaurant has grown from five employees to a team of 40, serving up to 550 diners daily with a menu focused on local seafood and vegetables.
In Alicante, the Municipal Tourism Board has launched a new gastronomic guide titled ‘Alicante, de barra y mesa’. The publication aims to promote the city's culinary identity by mapping out various dining experiences, including tapas, local products, and rice dishes. The guide features a wide range of establishments, from Michelin-starred restaurants to those recognized by the ‘Alicante Ciudad del Arroz’ seal, serving as a tool for both residents and tourists to explore the city's flavors.
