Spanish Government to declare air service obligation for Canary Islands

Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has announced that the Spanish government will publish a public service obligation (OSP) for air connections between the islands of La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro.

This measure aims to guarantee the frequency of direct flights, addressing a long-standing demand from these islands. The announcement was made during an informative breakfast hosted by ‘Nueva Economía Fórum’, where Torres noted that the Secretary of State for Transport confirmed the upcoming publication of the service obligation.
