Spanish Headache Foundation launches migraine awareness campaign

The Spanish Headache Foundation (FECEF) has launched an initiative to increase awareness regarding the invisible impacts of migraines. Marking International Migraine Action Day on September 12, the campaign aims to highlight the significant suffering and disability caused by the condition.

According to the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN), migraines affect approximately 13% of the adult population and between 9% and 10% of minors. The foundation is using social media to educate the public on the often-unseen consequences of the disease, including its impact on mental health, the workplace, and social life. Migraine is noted as a leading cause of disability among women under the age of 50.
