The 2026 Healthcare Leadership Awards, presented by the Observatorio de la Salud y Estudio de Comunicación, have recognized several Spanish medical institutions and regional health departments.

The Community of Madrid secured 17 of the 35 total awards. Three major hospitals—Ramón y Cajal, La Paz, and Clínico San Carlos—each received three distinctions. Specifically, Ramón y Cajal was honored in Digital Health, Nursing, and Hospital Pharmacy; La Paz in Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Pulmonology; and Clínico San Carlos in Neurology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Psychiatry. Other recipients in Madrid include Hospital Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda, Hospital 12 de Octubre, Hospital Gregorio Marañón, and the Fundación Jiménez Díaz.

In Castilla-La Mancha, the regional Health Ministry received an award for leadership in Humanization. Additionally, the University Hospital Complex of Toledo was recognized for its excellence in Patient Experience.
