Spanish Heritage Cities featured in Costa Rican Gastronomy Festival
The Spanish Gastronomy Festival in Costa Rica is highlighting Spain's 15 World Heritage Cities, including Cuenca, to promote Spanish culture in San José. Organized by the Spanish Embassy in Costa Rica, the Spanish Cultural Center, and Distrito G, the initiative uses culinary offerings and participatory activities in the Escalante neighborhood to showcase the monumental wealth of these cities.
The festival features informative modules for each city distributed among participating restaurants and the Spanish Cultural Center. These displays combine images and information regarding local monuments, festivals, and gastronomy. Twelve restaurants are participating by incorporating dishes inspired by Spanish cuisine, based on recipes by chef Pasqual Martorrell. The event, which includes live music and cultural encounters, runs until October 25.
