Spanish hospitals receive major healthcare quality awards

Several Spanish healthcare institutions have received prestigious industry recognitions for quality of care and management efficiency.

L’Hospital Universitari d’Igualada won first prize in the Maternal-Infant Area at the Best Spanish Hospitals Awards 2026. The award, organized by Higia Benchmarking, recognizes the center’s excellence in maternity, neonatal care, and pediatric processes, specifically focusing on safety indicators and hospital stay management.

In a separate ceremony, the 27th IQVIA Top 20 Awards honored institutions for clinical practices and efficiency. MútuaTerrassa received three awards, including the prominent Global Hospital Management distinction, as well as honors for the Digestive System and Nervous System areas. Additionally, the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa (CST) was recognized in the Right Care category for its excellence in hospital pharmacy, transfusions, and diagnostic imaging.
