Spanish hospitals recognized in Newsweek global rankings

Twenty-five Spanish hospitals have been recognized among the best in the world in the latest annual rankings by Newsweek. The publication evaluates medical institutions across 13 fundamental surgical and medical specialties, including Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Oncology, and Pediatrics.

In the field of Cardiology, the Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid holds the highest national position at 18th globally. Other notable Spanish entries in this category include Gregorio Marañón (35), Clínic de Barcelona (55), and 12 de Octubre (92). The Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de A Coruña (Chuac) also secured a position at 181st in the cardiology ranking.

Other top-performing Spanish institutions include Clínic de Barcelona, which ranked 10th globally in both Nephrology and Obstetrics and Gynecology. The rankings are based on clinical reputation, healthcare accreditations, and patient perception surveys.
