Spanish household wealth reaches 11 trillion dollars in 2025
According to the ‘Imbalance and Divergence: The Global Balance 2026’ report by the McKinsey Global Institute, Spanish household wealth grew significantly in 2025, reaching 11 trillion dollars (approximately 9.45 trillion euros). This growth places Spain, alongside Poland, Ireland, and Sweden, among the countries with the fastest-growing domestic economies.
McKinsey reports that net wealth per capita in Spain grew by 6% in nominal terms. Globally, household wealth reached 570 trillion dollars, a figure that has quadrupled since 2000. Notably, 58% of this increase was attributed to the revaluation of existing assets driven by inflation.
On a global scale, US households hold 30% of total wealth, while China and the European Union hold 13% and 14%, respectively. While several Eurozone countries saw slight increases in dollar terms, some experienced declines in constant exchange rate terms due to the dollar's depreciation against the euro between 2024 and 2025.
