Spanish housing market sees sharp rises in Albacete and shifts toward Valencia's coast
The Spanish housing market is showing significant regional shifts. In Albacete, property values have surged by 19.9% over the last year, making it the second-highest provincial capital in Spain for year-on-year price increases, trailing only Soria at 22.9%. The province as a whole has seen a 22.1% increase, ranking fourth among Spanish provinces. This growth outpaces major markets like Madrid (12.9%) and Barcelona (10.8%).
Concurrently, in the Valencia region, buyers are migrating toward the northern coast to find more affordable alternatives to the city center. While Valencia city prices exceed 3,300 euros per square meter, municipalities such as El Puig and Puçol offer new constructions for just over 2,000 euros per square meter. This trend is driven by demand for larger living spaces, including private terraces and more square footage, at a significantly lower cost than urban centers.
