Spanish housing sector calls for new Land Law and reduced bureaucracy

At the V National Housing Congress held in Barcelona, industry representatives from APCEspaña and APCE Catalunya outlined a strategic roadmap to increase residential supply in Spain. The sector is calling for a new Land Law, reduced bureaucracy, and greater legal certainty to accelerate urban development.

Xavier Vilajoana, president of APCEspaña and APCE Catalunya, emphasized the need for a state pact among political forces following the upcoming elections on November 29. The proposed roadmap focuses on six key pillars: land, public-private collaboration, financing, industrialization, data, and diversity of housing typologies, with a specific priority on expanding the affordable housing segment.
