Spanish institutions launch climate and water science initiatives

Various Spanish institutions are organizing educational activities to commemorate the International Day of Climate Action. In Lugo, the UNED Green Office is implementing a program that includes climate literacy workshops for over 100 primary school students, the launch of a dedicated TikTok channel, and new episodes of the Plan A videopodcast to engage younger generations with environmental challenges.

In Ejea de los Caballeros, the Aquagraria Museum is hosting the ‘La esfera del agua’ exhibition and ‘Meteolab’ workshops as part of the Ciudad Ciencia project. This initiative, driven by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in collaboration with 59 municipalities, focuses on the hydrological cycle, the impact of human activity on water resources, and meteorological science through experimental workshops for students.
