Spanish insurers and safety agencies accelerate AI adoption

Cuidacasa, a major claims‑management firm in Spain, says artificial intelligence is no longer optional for insurers. CEO Julio Roldán explains the company has built its own ERP platform and an ecosystem of twelve AI agents that validate coverage, coordinate schedules, assess damage, audit budgets and communicate with policyholders. The effort led to the creation of Guai Insurtech, a laboratory that offers AI tools to the wider insurance sector.

In Sevilla, a technical conference highlighted how AI is being applied to occupational‑risk prevention. Presentations demonstrated vision‑based systems that spot unsafe behaviour or missing protective equipment in real time and predictive models that forecast fatigue, environmental conditions and task‑specific accident probabilities. Speakers stressed that AI should augment, not replace, expert judgement and must be ethical and human‑centred.
