Aerolíneas Argentinas posts 2025 profit, positive net equity and first tax payment
Aerolíneas Argentinas reported a net profit of 238 000 million Argentine pesos for 2025, equivalent to about US$156 million, and an EBIT surplus of roughly US$120 million. The airline also recorded a positive net equity of 18 000 million pesos, the first such balance after more than a decade of deficits.
The company reduced its bank and financial debt by 52 % to US$170.5 million and, for the first time in its history, will pay corporate income tax of around 6 000 million pesos. No capital injections from the Treasury were required in 2025, ending a period in which the state had transferred over US$8 billion since 2008.
Economy Minister Luis Caputo highlighted the results as evidence of fiscal balance and efficient management, while Aerolíneas Argentinas president Fabián Lombardo called the outcome a turning point for the carrier’s growth and fleet renewal plans.
