Spanish investment firms execute strategic portfolio shifts

Spanish investment firms are executing strategic shifts in their portfolios. Asset manager Bestinver has increased its positions in companies including Meta, TSMC, BMW, Barclays, and DSV during the third quarter. The firm noted that while stock indices are near highs, valuations have decreased relative to corporate earnings growth, suggesting market potential. Bestinver reported double-digit returns for 2026 in its main equity strategies, with Bestinver Internacional rising 14.7% since January.

In the private equity sector, Buenavista Equity Partners has acquired a 71.2% stake in Tiryaq Medical Group, a healthcare company specializing in traumatology, minimally invasive surgery, and rehabilitation. The acquisition, involving both a share purchase and a capital increase, aims to expand Tiryaq’s presence from Madrid to the rest of Spain through organic and inorganic growth. Tiryaq, which generates 13 million euros in annual revenue, will continue to be led by founder Dr. Ghassan Elgeadi.
