Spanish island councils announce road infrastructure investments
The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved a project to invest over 3.4 million euros in rehabilitating the TF-351 highway. This 5.3 kilometer stretch connects the municipalities of San Juan de la Rambla and La Guancha in northern Tenerife. The works aim to improve pavement and drainage to enhance traffic safety, with the tender process expected to begin before the end of 2026.
In Lanzarote, the Cabildo has opened the bidding process for the integral improvement of the LZ-18 road, which connects Arrecife with Costa Teguise. The project, valued at nearly 5 million euros, seeks to address cracks, uneven surfaces, and damage caused by palm tree roots. The works, which include resurfacing and improved signaling, are expected to be completed within six months of the contract being awarded.
