Spanish judge summons technicians to decipher Adamuz train crash black boxes

A judge from the Montoro Court has summoned technicians from Iryo and Renfe, along with judicial experts and other company representatives, to participate in the judicial decryption and interpretation of black box data. The proceedings are scheduled for November 12.

The investigation pertains to the Adamuz railway accident that occurred on January 18, which resulted in 46 deaths and over 120 injuries. To facilitate the process, the court has requested that the IT department provide the necessary technical means specified by the equipment manufacturer, Hasler Rail.

Prior to the main session, participants must take an oath as experts via a telemetric application on October 29. This follows previous steps in the investigation, including the opening of the black boxes from the two involved trains in Madrid and the authorized extraction of data from security cameras located inside the Iryo train.
