Spanish judokas compete in European Paralympic Championships

Ten Spanish judokas with visual impairments are competing in the European Paralympic Judo Championships held in Heidelberg, Germany, from August 14 to 16. The delegation consists of six men and four women.

In addition to individual events, the Spanish national team is returning to team competition for the first time in eight years. The squad is led by four-time Paralympic medalist Marta Arce, following her bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Games. Other notable competitors include Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Sergio Ibáñez, Íñigo Gerbolés, María Manzanero, and Rodrigo Suárez, several of whom have recently secured medals on the international circuit.
