Spanish junior golf: La Cañada defends Interclubes title

The Club de Golf La Cañada de Guadiaro has successfully defended its title as the Spanish Interclubes Infantil champion for the second consecutive year. Competing at Lauro Golf in Alhaurín de la Torre, the team led by captain David Gil González finished with 492 strokes, securing a 19-stroke lead over the runner-up, Real Sociedad Hípica Española Club de Campo.

Pedro Tineo delivered a standout performance, recording a total of 132 strokes to achieve the best scratch score among 140 participants. The winning team included Pedro Tineo, Casper Soudant, Sofía Gamilla, and Ana Trujillano.

In separate regional news, the Club de Golf Soria saw notable performances at the first test of the 2026 Castilla y León Pequecircuito in Lerma. Enzo Jiménez secured second place in the Scratch category for the infantil division with 75 strokes. Additionally, Marcos López placed third in the handicap category for alevines, while Miguel López finished ninth in the Scratch category for cadetes.
