Spanish leaders vacation in Lanzarote and Galicia

Spanish political leaders are spending their summer breaks in different locations, drawing public and media scrutiny. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is vacationing at La Mareta, an institutional residence in Lanzarote.

Salvador Illa, the President of the Generalitat of Catalonia, was among the first guests to visit the residence this year. Illa, who maintains a close personal relationship with Sánchez, stayed at the estate with his wife, Marta Estruch, in early August. During his stay, Illa was observed running in the Costa Teguise area accompanied by security.

In contrast, opposition leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo is spending his holidays in the Galician municipality of Tirán. The differing vacation styles of the country's top political figures continue to be a subject of political analysis and debate in Spain.
