Spanish libraries host storytelling festivals and cultural events

Various libraries in Spain are hosting storytelling and oral narration events as part of cultural programming in October 2026.

In Tomelloso, the Biblioteca Municipal Francisco García Pavón will host the “Microconcierto de historias” by La Chica Charcos on October 23. The performance, led by artist Patricia Charcos, combines music, poetry, and oral narration to engage families and children. This event is part of the Month of Libraries 2026 initiative.

In L’Hospitalet, the Munt de Mots Oral Storytelling Festival will feature several sessions across different city libraries. The program includes performances such as Nono Granero’s “Blanco sobre blanco” at Biblioteca Can Sumarro, Blai Senabre’s “Històries de palau” at the Santa Eulàlia Bibliomercat, and Assumpta Mercader’s “Miriorama” at Biblioteca La Florida. The festival aims to promote cultural diversity and imagination through traditional and invented tales.
