Spanish local newspapers launch free August editions in Salamanca and León

The free print edition of Salamanca al Día (issue 129) began distribution on 5 August across more than 60 points in the province, including bars, cafés and hospitals. The edition highlights the August patron‑festival season, features aerial views of the historic centre, and includes interviews with Alberto Díaz, the new president of the Salamanca Chamber of Commerce, and Ángel Fernández Silva, the municipal tourism and culture councillor.

Diario de León will distribute a complimentary "Especial Liga" supplement on 13 August. The sports supplement provides full rosters, calendars and interviews for local football clubs such as Cultural Leonesa, SD Ponferradina and Atlético Astorga, as well as coverage of handball, basketball and women's basketball teams in the region.
