Spanish long-distance runners target major upcoming competitions

Spanish long-distance runners are preparing for major upcoming competitions. Ester Navarrete is targeting a top-10 finish at the European Athletics Championships marathon in Birmingham. After a month-long altitude training camp in Font Romeu, Navarrete expressed high motivation to improve her previous performance in Rome and to help the Spanish team in the European Cup.

In trail running, Estefanía Unzu Ripoll, known as Verdeliss, secured second place in the 70km category at the Monschau Marathon in Germany. Despite accidentally deviating from the course and running extra distance, she finished with a time of 5:43:47. This performance serves as preparation for her upcoming debut at the 100km World Championships in September.
