Spanish Love Songs release new single Welcome to Hell

Los Angeles-based band Spanish Love Songs has released a new single, ‘Welcome to Hell’, ahead of their upcoming full-length album, Future Nausea. The album is scheduled for release on November 6 via Pure Noise Records.

Produced by Chris Walla (formerly of Death Cab for Cutie) and Sarah Tudzin (Illuminati Hotties), the new material marks a stylistic shift for the group. Vocalist Dylan Slocum described the single as a ‘bar-band rock song’ intended to combat cynicism. The track explores themes regarding the impact of techno-oligarchs and the societal tendency toward apathy in exchange for convenience.

The band’s upcoming work aims for a ‘big rock record’ sound that moves away from their previous more melancholic ballads toward a more anthemic, though politically charged, direction.
