Spanish lower‑division clubs Elche Ilicitano and Liceo set out season fixtures

Elche Ilicitano disclosed its 2026‑27 Segunda Federación calendar, opening the campaign on 6 September away at Lorca Deportiva and finishing on 9 May at home against FC La Unión Atlético. The schedule includes key clashes such as a provincial derby with Intercity in October, two encounters with Orihuela in January and February, and late‑season matches against Yeclano Deportivo, Peña Deportiva and others that could decide promotion hopes.

The senior Elche CF announced its first two pre‑season friendlies at Pinatar Arena: a July 18 match against South African side Kaizer Chiefs and a July 28 game versus Al‑Ain of the United Arab Emirates.

Separately, Liceo from A Coruña will compete in the Spanish Supercopa on 24‑25 October in Olot. The four‑team tournament features Liceo (Copa del Rey holders), Igualada, Barcelona and Calafell, with Liceo seeded as a top seed. A parallel women’s Supercopa will also be staged in Olot, with Vila‑Sana, Telecable, Palau and Esneca Fraga slated to compete.
