Spanish lower‑division clubs start pre‑season training with youth players

Cultural, the club preparing for the 2026/27 season, held its first open training session on a Friday at Campo 1 of the Área Deportiva de Puente Castro. Coach Jandro Castro and sporting director Asier Goiria oversaw a squad of 13 players, including seven recent signings and several academy graduates.

Xerez Deportivo announced that up to six academy players will join the first‑team pre‑season camp beginning Thursday 23 July at the Anexo Pepe Ravelo. Under head coach Chus Trujillo, the youths – Domi, Pirri, Fran Vázquez, Edgar, Jesús Gaviño and Mario Gaviño – will train with the senior squad in hopes of earning a place for the upcoming campaign.
