Spanish military and police conduct CERBERO 26 and Atlas 26 exercises

Spanish security forces and military units have conducted specialized training exercises to enhance operational coordination and defense capabilities.

In Alboraya, the CERBERO 26 exercise involved 60 military and police personnel along with 48 dogs. The drill included representatives from the Spanish Army, Navy, Air and Space Force, Royal Guard, Civil Guard, National Police, and local police forces, as well as the Portuguese Army. The training aimed to improve unit coordination and training levels through joint procedures.

Simultaneously, the Atlas 26 exercise in Huelva tested the integration of the Aracne C-UAS (counter-unmanned aerial system) into Spain’s air defense architecture. Developed by Indra and EM&E, the Aracne system demonstrated its ability to coordinate responses against drone swarms and saturation attacks. The system was integrated via the COAAAS+ Anti-Aircraft Artillery Operations Center, allowing for shared situational awareness and optimized resource allocation to neutralize aerial threats.
