Spanish military patrol obstructs NGO food distribution in Ceuta
In Ceuta, members of the Spanish Army's 9th Infantry Regiment reportedly harassed volunteers from the NGO No Name Kitchen and the collective Brigadas de Apoyo Mutuo for approximately two hours.
A military vehicle was parked roughly half a meter from the entrance of the NGO's headquarters, obstructing the movement of food supplies intended for migrants. Volunteers reported having to carry food boxes in backpacks or squeeze through narrow gaps between the military vehicle and the building to avoid delaying food distributions.
Activists also reported verbal harassment, including sexist comments directed at a volunteer. One volunteer alleged that a soldier threw cigarette ash on her during the encounter. When asked to move, the military personnel reportedly stated they were under orders to remain at that location.
