Spanish municipal bands expand summer concerts in Villena and Villaviciosa

The municipal Banda Municipal de Música de Villena will move its traditional pasodoble concert from Plaza de Santiago to the Avenida de la Constitución on 28 August. The change, announced by Mayor Fulgencio Cerdán, aims to accommodate 7,000‑8,000 spectators with a larger stage and 600 seats, improving sound quality, traffic impact and safety.

Meanwhile, the Banda de Música de Villaviciosa, under director José Antonio Fernández, returned from a performance at Disneyland Paris to hold the "Suena la Banda" summer concert in Ballina park. About 200 locals attended the program of classical, contemporary and traditional pieces, marking the band’s first major event after the international showcase.
