Spanish municipal councils approve local administrative changes

In Ferrol, the municipal council has officially approved renaming the municipal auditorium on Avenida do Mar to honor the late guitarist Álvaro Lamas. The decision was reached unanimously following a public process that gathered 2,248 signatures in support of the change. An official ceremony to mark the renaming will take place in the coming weeks.

In Sant Antoni de Portmany, the local government approved a renewed collaboration agreement with the Guardia Civil. This four-year agreement aims to strengthen coordination between the Guardia Civil and local police through improved information sharing, database access, and joint operations. The agreement also includes the development of a Local Security Plan to address municipal safety issues.
