Spanish municipal libraries unveil new reading lists

The Municipal Library of Alpedrete (Spain) published its August 2026 bulletin, highlighting a wide range of new titles for children, teenagers and adults. Selections include picture books for toddlers, mystery and fantasy novels for youths, and contemporary adult fiction such as "El amo" and other romance and crime titles.

The State Public Library Miguel Ángel Blanco in Ceuta also refreshed its weekly reading recommendations, coordinated by Yolanda Carbonell, head of the library’s reading club. Carbonell promoted a new noir novel by Santiago Díaz, a gothic fantasy from Michael McDowell linked to the Blackwater saga, and a children’s story featuring a famously smelly dog. The programme includes author visits and aims to support summer reading across all age groups.
