Spanish municipalities acquire land for public housing projects
The municipality of Santa Marta de Tormes has ceded a 3,065-square-meter plot on La Serna Avenue to the Public Infrastructure and Environment Society of Castilla y León (SOMACYL). The project aims to construct approximately 23 residential units, with a preferential focus on providing housing for young people to facilitate their independence and support local demographic growth.
In Paterna, the city council has acquired 15,000 square meters of developable land through an auction in the Los Molinos sector, adjacent to the Santa Rita neighborhood. The land is designated entirely for the development of public housing.
